MILWAUKEE — Celtics center Robert Williams is out for Game 6 at Milwaukee, coach Ime Udoka announced Friday before tip-off.
“The pain is still there, and we’re not going to put him out there until he’s 100%,” Udoka said.
Udoka expanded on Williams’ status earlier Friday after the team’s shootaround.
“He got his knee scanned, and everything structurally is good. Looks fine. Swelling went down but he still has some soreness and pain.” he said. “Revealed that he has a small bone bruise from a collision he took in Game 3. So structurally he’s fine from the surgery, it’s just that’s where the swelling and the soreness came from.”
Added Celtics guard Derrick White: “Rob’s special. We’ve been saying that all year. What he does, no one else in the league does. So it’s always great to have him out there. When he’s out there he always does great for us.”
